“Trail-Side Tune-Up!” – A Mountain Bike Maintenance Class for When the Woods Get Spicy

Great holiday gift for the bikers in your life!

The Deets:

Date: Saturday, January 17th, 2026
Time: 2:00pm
Duration: 1.5 Hour
Location: Kingfisher Bicycle Co. 139 W. Liberty Street, Plymouth, Michigan

Ever been miles into a trail ride when your bike starts making that noise?
The one where you think, “Huh… wonder if that was important,” right before everything feels wrong?

In this ninety minute, hands-on class, we’ll show you how to handle the most common on-trail mechanical hiccups—no panic, no hike-a-bike, no sacrificing your ride day to the forest.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Diagnose weird trail-side clunks, creaks, and wobbles (and tell what can wait vs. what definitely can’t)
  • Straighten a mildly bent derailleur hanger without channeling Hulk rage
  • Deal with a broken chain using a quick link—no tears, minimal swearing
  • Adjust brakes and shifters enough to get you safely back to the trailhead
  • Re-seat a burped tubeless tire so you’re riding dirt, not rim

No experience needed—just bring your bike or let us set you up with one of ours.

You’ll leave with:

  • The confidence to fix the “uh-oh” stuff mid-ride
  • Hands only sorta dirty (we’ve got wipes)
  • A chain that actually shifts when you tell it to
  • And far fewer “hey… any chance you can pick me up from the woods?” texts in your future

Perfect for new mountain bikers, weekend warriors, and anyone who’s ever finished a ride with their bike held together by hope and zip-ties.
